1970 Morris Nomad AutoOriginally sold by Kellows, this Nomad is in wonderful original condition having one careful owner for the majority of its life. It recently changed hands and is currently undergoing some bodywork repairs in preparation for being road registered in Victoria. The engine is getting new seals and gaskets but is otherwise in fine fettle. The new owner is a Morris Club member who had as her first car a 1969 Morris 1300 automatic, back in NZ in the early 80s. She’s extremely chuffed at having tracked down a Nomad version as they’re scarcer than hen’s teeth and extremely useful with all that extra space. The Nomad is back on home turf, having come from Gardenvale just a suburb away from its new home in Caulfield.
‘Dinsdale’ the Nomad will share a garage with ‘Dame Zara’ the Daimler V8 250 (1969), also road registered and in frequent use. The Nomad will be an active club car and everyday car, and may even get slept in on camping trips - just like in those hilarious 60s BMC ads! |
